Caroline
I started riding eventing in the end of 2008′s season with the pony Multistar Scan (Micha). We only competed twice – both times CNCP80. In 2009 Micha and I were qualified for and competing at the Nordic-Baltic Championships in Northern Sweden. Gold medal!
In 2010 I tried eventing on my yellow wonder boy, Orchard Freedom Scan (Free), who has done 1,35m show jumping. That turned out to be a massive success, and in just 5 starts he was qualified for the European Championships. Exactly that would be his 7th eventing competition in his entire life. At that time he was 15yo and has never done neither dressage nor cross country. Clear xc on the fences, few time penalties, and clear show jumping. Individual 16th place and best Danish result for more than 20 years. 2010 also gave Micha and I another gold medal at the Nordic-Baltic Championships.
I am born on December 8th in the year of 1994. This year is therefore my first year as a junior rider, which has brought a lot of changes, training and new experiences for me. Of course it helped me a lot being so experienced on pony, but in the end riding horses is so much different.
I got my junior horse, Toftegårdens Carisma (Karry) in March this year, and we have just been competing at the Nordic-Baltic Championships. Disqualified on fence 7. Okay!! So we really have something to learn before next year – cool!
Right after the Europeans last year I went riding for Carol Gee at her place, Fernhill Sporthorses Centre, in Ireland. It was really tough to work there, but I learned so much in the months I was there and got to ride a whole lot of different horses.
Now I just arrived home to Denmark after living in Portugal riding for Francisco Tudella at Herdade Vale Sabroso in some months too. There I was also going to be test rider on the course for the European Junior Championships. I am certain that all riders who wants to compete on international level should try to be behind the shows like that and see how the competitions get built up from zero to hero. It was for sure an amazing experience, and I am really looking forward to get back there as soon as possible! It is words directly form my heart when I say I miss it everyday. Every night I dream that, when I open up my eyes in the morning, I am back in my apartment in Alcácer do Sal. At Herdade de Vale Sabroso.

My blog will be following me during training, competitions, and journeys all over the world.
If you can dream it – you can do it!
It’s only love,
